After waiting years and years to get IKEA to Orlando (yes, I did call the IKEA corporate office so much that I think they opened a store here just so I would stop bugging them) we are finally getting TRADER JOE'S! Can you see me jumping up and down for joy?
I first experienced Trader Joe's as a teenager on a trip to Los Angeles. I've watched them open stores around the country, waiting patiently for them to make their way into Florida. Rumors began to spread last year that we are in fact getting a Trader Joe's in Orlando and Winter Park. The Orlando location is the one I would like to focus on today.
There have been talks back and forth, they're coming, they're not coming, to Sand Lake Road in Dr. Phillips. I decided to contact Trader Joe's directly to confirm the location. I was told that the plans are to in fact build on Sand Lake Rd and Sandpointe.
Look out Whole Foods. There is competition coming to town.
